Galleon COLD IPA
Our Galleon Cold IPA pays tribute to the legend of the Spanish Galleon, rumoured to be buried beneath the Eighteen Mile Swamp on the east coast of North Stradbroke Island.
Legend has it that lightning strikes are more frequent near the wreck, drawn by the gold coins hidden beneath.
Cold IPA borrows elements of easy drinking, light lagers and blends them with bold new world hops and bitterness.
Our interpretation of a Cold IPA uses rice to lighten the body, a lager yeast brewed at warmer temps in a refreshing nod to California Common/Steam Beer, and new world hops that give a moderate bitterness and loads of tropical fruit.
Yellow gold with a gentle hop haze. Bursting aromas of sweet, freshly sliced grapefruit, kumquat, lime, orange and lemon zest.
